A positive, open mindset can take you places. Here are just a few ways you can benefit from adopting such an outlook:
From "I can't do it" to "I can and will."
You won't be able to get anything accomplished if your inner voice is constantly saying to you, "you can't do it." What this little voice inside your head is effectively doing is preventing you from even starting. Questions like, "what if I try and fail?" to "what if I start and find out that I don't have what it takes?" act like a wall that prevent us from venturing out of our comfort zones. Doing so is a crucial first-step in achieving success.
Self Check-in: "How Am I Doing?"
It may be uncomfortable to receive criticism of any kind, especially from a mentor, manager, or even a peer, but criticism, whenever it's constructive, is one of the most important tools for gauging your progress. Feedback is important in the process of self-improvement and growth. At the end of the day, evaluate the constructive criticism you've received, and ask yourself: "How am I doing? Have I been taking the right steps to reach my goals? What can I do to improve?"
None of these tips can take the place of quality, in-person, training and mentorship. That's the importance of joining the right brokerage.
